Before Pics for Your Eyeballs

Monday, May 10, 2010

Whew! Glad to have found the camera cord...this whole moving thing is mind-boggling.

SO much to do...and never enough thyme. (get it?)

Here are some "before" pics for ya, hopefully to satisfy that burning curiosity which was probably keeping you up at night. Settle in and grab some popcorn.

The ranch-style house on Sequoia, which is now HOME.

The Den (with a real wood-burning stove that's pretty for real):

Through the den to the dining room (and bright window through which you can also see my blank canvas backyard!):

Through the dining room to the kitchen, aka Leslie's Laundry Outpost (I'll be taking in laundry for extra money, thanks to the enormous/enormously awesome washer/dryer that came with the house):

Um, just kidding... [I mean, if you are]

FYI: Our Major Project Numero Uno is called: The "getting-these-puppies-moved-elsewhere" Project.

Guest room:

The honourable office, or "middle room," as it's become thus far:

...complete with three gigantor-scale painted mirrors. We don't know why. We don't know how. They're just there.

Master bedroom:

Living room (through the front door, leading to the dining room, etc):

I don't know if that fireplace works. Corner decorating spaces like that intimidate me. [So much pressure!]

No shortage of ceiling fans, am I right? Brimming with potential, no?

Switching gears just for kicks...

For Mother's Day, I made these for each of our moms:

succulents in these anthropologie mugs.

and beautiful cards from Rifle. CANNOT GET ENOUGH RIFLE.

Martha and I made crock pot lasagna and margarita pie, and we had our parents, Jonny's parents, and my granny all together for lunch. Simply delightful!

Although we have definitely done tons of work to the house so far, and definitely given filling up these rooms a good ole college try (there was more in that townhouse than I thought!), no afters for publishing yet. Not while it's a mess.

(Thanks to everyone who has helped so far, in one way or another!)
