In Cold Blood, by Truman Capote.

And I'm absolutely in love with his writing style so far. Mid-century, matter-of-fact, unromanticized but still's the best way to read about something terrifying.

After this, I want to watch the movie Capote. Has anyone seen or read either of these?

  1. ok, in cold blood is one of my favorite books of all time. and truman does an amazing job of capturing the behind-the-scenes of it all, and the true life interactions between capote (and man, phillip seymour-hoffman is AMAZING as capote) and the killers. it's a great story from start to finish.

  2. I absolutely loved In Cold Blood which surprised me since I'm not normally one to like such dark subject matter (I get scared easily). The way he writes just makes the story so fascinating, though. I definitely recommend seeing Capote as well.
