In other news, I have begun reading the much-acclaimed Twilight series, by Stephanie Meyer. It's crazy how fast this book reads, and how interesting I'm finding it. Maybe it's the setting of Forks, Washington, that's so captivating. I spent about 30 minutes yesterday researching the town itself, and it's fascinating to me--the climate, the geography, her descriptions of mossy trees and low-hanging clouds. Thanks, Kristy, for your recommendation, as well as my sister-in-law Nikki! (Don't be scared away by the young adult classification, btw.)

yea! i love happy news!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the series. The second one kind of drags, but once you make it to chapter 17, things pick up significantly. It's worth getting there! I, too, am fascinated with the setting of Forks. Stephenie Meyer's website is pretty interesting too. There are pictures from the movie cast, and she's also writing Twilight through Edward's perspective. She has the first chapter on her website. Enjoy your reads! :)
