Clue: What are the odds?

Monday, June 19, 2006

As Jonathan says, my experience last night ranks up there with the Longhorns winning the National Championship in football and running a marathon.

I won Clue on the very first turn of the game.

What are the odds, really? There are 6 suspects, 6 weapons, and 10 rooms, right? A 1 in 360 chance? Is that even right? As Mrs. Peacock, I moseyed into the Conservatory, because it was the only room I could get into with the number on the dice, and guessed the candlestick because it was sitting the closest to me on the board. The guess went all the way around the circle with no evidence, so I thought, what the heck? I'll look in the confidential envelope. There they all were: Mrs. Peacock, the candlestick, in the Conservatory.

I was the first turn of the game.

Has this happened to anyone else, ever? Could playing this game possibly be as memorable ever again?

Sincerely,

The Master Sleuth

  1. Wow, that's a big deal. Congrats. It has never happened to me but I hate clue. Those stratigy games kill me...or my Mrs. Peacock did in the conservatory?

  4. Poisoned bait is a common method for controlling rat populations, however is not as effective when there are other food sources around, such as garbage. Poisoned meats have been used for centuries for killing off wolves, birds that were seen to threaten crops, and against other creatures. This can be a problem, since a carcass which has been poisoned will kill not only the targeted animal,
